1. Registration
- Players who are willing to participate in the MBL season must 1) form a team, 2) submit their team roster, and 3) pay the entry fee to the Host(Rinc) prior to the announced deadline for the season.
- Every MBL participating team is required to have a minimum of five members (players) to participate as a team. A total of three extra members (players) can be added to the team’s roster as stand-ins or substitutes. (Maximum of 8 players Per team)
- The team roster must include every members of the team. Any changes in the roster must be reported to the host prior to the announced deadline. The team roster cannot be changed after the announced deadline for the season.
- Every MBL participating team is required to pay 1 Captain Ticket Per Player (Maximum of 8 per team, varying on Player Count) as its entry fee to participate in the upcoming season of MBL (Mock Battle League).(All Captain Tickets collected from Players will be put into the Prize Pool. Host takes none of the profits)
- Any MBL participating team failing to meet the requirements prior to the announced deadline may face a disqualification from the MBL season.
2. Group stage / Brackets
- After the registration, every MBL participating team will be placed in a single group.
- Each participating team will be matched against every team in the group at least once.
- After all the scheduled group matches are completed, each team’s points earned from the group stage matches will be tallied and each team will be ranked according to the total amount of earned points.
- (The teams which are placed first to fourth will advance to the upper bracket.
- The teams which are placed fifth to eighth will advance to the lower bracket.
- The teams which are placed below eighth place will not advance to either brackets.
- If there are teams which have the same number of points earned and are tied at the group stage, a series of tiebreaker matches will be held. The ranking will be
- changed according to the results of tiebreakers and the qualifying teams will advance to the appropriate bracket or stage.
- Winners from the upper bracket and the lower bracket will be matched in the grand final. The grand final is the final stage for the MBL season. (Waiting for team Numbers, This is Example from last MBL)
3. Matches
- Every MBL participating team, whose match is planned to start on the day, must show up ready to battle on time (6am PST) the day of tournament (match). Teams which are late or unprepared to battle prior to the start of the match will lose the match automatically.
- Each match in the group stage of the MBL consists of one round (battle). The winning team will earn 1 Point toward their Score. The Losing team earns 0 Points
- The team winning two rounds (battles) out of three rounds (best of 3) advances to the next match in the upper and the lower bracket finals/quarterfinals.
- The team winning three rounds (battles) out of five rounds (best of 5) wins the grand final.
4. Battles
- All ships, ship equipment (gears), and player equipment (gears) Sailor Equipment, are allowed for the battles held throughout the MBL. (Through Strict testing, I have decided nothing in the game currently is incredibly broken, everything has a counter)
- Once MBL Sign Ups is Announced, Any newly arrived Sailor Equipment, Ships, Player Gear, Ship Gear, And consumables from Treasure Cove, or In-game updates will be barred from being used. This will be a tournament based on this current Patch Note.
- Usage of Navy Reinforcement (effect) is prohibited during the entirety of the battle. The violator’s team will lose the round and the opposing team will win the round automatically.
- Usage of Aide Reinforcement (effect) is prohibited during the entirety of the battle. The violator’s team will lose the round and the opposing team will win the round automatically.
- Players are not allowed to engage in a deck battle during the entirety of the battle. If Deck is engaged the result is a loss for both teams.
- Players, at no circumstance, can exit “the ring” (the boundaries of the battle area inside a battle) during the battle. If a player exits “the ring” middle of a battle (round), the player cannot reenter the battle. If the admiral exits “the ring” and retreats middle of a battle, the admiral’s team loses the battle automatically.
- Usage of Cannonball Processing Instructions (CPI) and/or any other visual cannon effect are prohibited. If a player was found using CPI and/or any other visual cannon effect during a round (battle), the player’s team will lose the round (battle) of the match.
- The players may change their member roles (e.g., admiral) at any time throughout the tournament without a penalty.
- In case of a storm middle of a match, the match will resume after the storm with the remaining players prior to the storm only. No Docking will be allowed after storm, all remaining players will anchor and wait for storm to end to re-start Match. If Docking occurs, the porting team will count as a loss(excluding players whom have already been eliminated)
- Players of the team who were ready outside the port cannot dock again until the end of the round. Docking (reentering port) after being ready and before the end of the round would result in an automatic loss of the round (battle).
- A player’s death or kill is strictly determined by the log from the battle.
- If the log shows that a player was sunk by mine, a death will be recorded to the sunken player’s record and no player will be awarded for the sunken player’s death.
- If a player exits “the ring” middle of a battle(round), there will not be any death or kill recorded for the player’s exit.
- Host maintains the rights to adjust rules mid-MBL if any exploitation of rules occur
- Host maintains the rights to make ruling on any exploitation of the rules immediately upon notification.
5. Distribution of the prize/rewards
- Prize of the MBL season will be distributed from the total prize pool according to the final standings of the participating teams after the grand final.
- The total prize pool is comprised of 1) the teams’ entry fees from the MBL registration, 2) donations from the participants, and 3) donations from the non-participants.
- It is at the host’s discretion to decide how and what to distribute as prize or rewards for the participants of the MBL season.(All donations given will contribute to the Prize Pool)
